New guy from north Georgia

Hi all. I pick up my new S10 Saturday. Been riding for many years. This will be my first adventure bike. I have a 04 Ducati ST4s that has been my primary street ride for the last 7 years. Decided to pick up something a little more upright for longer rides. Looking to do more exploring rides and not just going up to the north Georgia mountains and bombing around. I've been known to do 450 mile days up in the mountains but at the end my back would really like something more upright.
I am also an instructor for STT (Sportbike Track Time) so I spend many weekends at racetracks in the southeastern US. I mostly work with novice riders at the racetrack. They are the most rewarding folks to work with seeing how they progress through the day and/or weekend.

I am getting black or raven whatever you want to call it. I like both colors so I pretty much left it up to the friend at the dealership to pick one. Haven't decided which farkels yet. Been looking at the various options. I am getting to factory cases and doubt it will go off road much if any so probably not much need for skid plate and such. Will likely change out the windscreen with a taller one and heated grips, maybe a throttle lock. From there we will see what strikes me.

Check out Charley @ Parabellum Windscreens in Dahlonega. He will get you squared away on a screen. I did a ride in and he measured everything up and had it ready in a couple of days. Great screen.
