So from reading posts on here, I know there are a few Tenere riders from the overall Middle TN region - but how many are in and around Nashville?

I am contemplating a longer than usual trip home to Nashville for the Xmas holidays and am anticipating that I will need some sanity breaks from the family madness. With that in mind... I am very seriously considering bringing the Tenere with me to break out for some escapes around the old stomping grounds. I am thinking about runs out around Center Hill lake, down to the Monteagle area, and then maybe around the Narrows of the Harpeth for something closer to home. But I am down for anything really. The more offroad, the better!

So... if the weather is decent, is there any interest in doing some riding? My prospective dates at this time look to around the range of Dec 21-28.

I didn't know your from Nashville. I'm down in Centerville and I'd love to ride some dirt with ya. It may be hard for me to get away that week. I'm scheduled to work the entire Holiday week. Might be able to get away on the weekend. I work at St. Thomas so I could meet you at ML Rose on Charlotte for a craft and burger. I can at least bring you a map of Hickman County highlighted with a good dirt loop.

I am in Murfreesboro and would enjoy a ride during that time as well. Lots of good routes in southern Middle Tennessee to explore. Also Truegrip I would like to some day come and ride in your neck of the woods, or at least get one of those previously mentioned maps :)
Let me know when you may be riding and I'll try to join in.

Yup. Born and raised in Nashville. Left for college and never made it back other than for family visits. It is still a month away so I will wait till closer to the time to see what the weather is going to be like. If it is going to be 50 and sunny - like it very often can be - then I'll likely bring the bike along with me.

Its one of those 50 and sunny days today. I'm in the ER today so I've had several breaks outside ::012:: Hope you have a good visit even if you don't bring the bike.

I'm starting to look a bit more seriously at my trip to Nashville for the holidays. The trip dates are more or less set from an arrival on Dec 21 and a departure around Dec 28-29.

Now, the biggest issue is the hassle-factor of bringing the bike and gear along with everything else that has to come with me. If I do not mess with trailering Fancy over with me, the weather will undoubtedly be decent and I'll want to ride some. If I do bring her, I will either be bouted by bad weather. Just not sure what I want to do. Probably will be a last-minute impulsive decision.

You guys are lucky if you can get out and ride. I am in upstate New York and have two feet of snow in my yard and my driveway has three inches of ice on it. I have "often" given Tennessee serious thought for a place to move too. No tax on retirement, like New York, plenty of nice roads to ride, and nice people. I have ridden through your state many times. Very beautiful place to live. One other thing...your electric rate is half of what we pay in New York. Time for me to move?

I think you made the right call and hope you can get back when we have better riding weather. If you let me know ahead of time I'll put in for a couple of days off. It was impossible to get off this week and it was my turn for Christmas. Hope you are enjoying your family!
