Complete failure on Yamaha IMO. This should not have taken any longer than2 weeks total.
My CCT began to rattle excessively on start up and on decel by 29k miles. It started ever so slightly after the first service at 25k miles which the exhaust cam had to come out and valve lash adjusted. After that it got noticeably louder on start ups. I bought a new 14 CCT and installed it myself, noise is now gone. I like the bike but I do not like Yamaha the company. I've read way to many things similar to yours on how they handle their product issues.
