Have the metal mule pannier frames fitted to my 2013 super tenere with an old set of zega,s attached.
Will be buying a 2016 super tenere soon and would like to know if I can fit old frames straight onto new bike.

Seems like there is an issue if you move from a non-ES to an ES. At least for the throttle side frames on some pannier brands. Hopefully someone will speak up that has done the move, there are several on the forum. In the mean time, it may be helpful to specify if you are moving to an ES model.

What's the difference...is there any way to alter my MM frames to fit....seen on tours tech site they do pannier frames to fit 2014+ bikes but doesn't specify ES or non ES.

I believe the ES has the mechanics behind the infill that means the RHS footpeg is further out and angled so the pannier frame has different attachment points.

You'll need to do both sides ...both of mine were out ...have a look at the link I've just added in my previous post

Just thought I would let people know that my metal mule pannier frames from my 2013 bike were a perfect fit again on my new 2016 ZE super Tenere. The only bit that didn't fit was the metal plate that you bolt to the inside of the right hand pillion foot-rest.Resolved this by bolting straight onto pillion peg using a spacer.

Are you sure about the relocated foot peg? The Yamaha factory case mounts also attach to the RHS foot peg bracket and they fit all years and both models of the bike.
