I changed my rear Pr3 Trail at 10,000 miles and they were just getting to the wear bar in the middle and a little squared from freeway commuting 160 miles weekly. I prob could have squeezed another 1000 miles before a bald center on the rear tire. The front is still mounted and at 12,000 miles now and not even at the wear bars. Not sure what tire pressures everyone else is running but I ran mine at 34 front and 38 rear cold. I believe both the Pr4, regular or GT, are not available in our sizes only the PR4 trail. The Michelin site lists both the PR3 and Pr4 as having a #3 medium center and #2 medium/soft outer edge for the rear tire, along with a #2 medium/soft center and #1 soft side for the front tire.

I have about 1200 miles on the PR4Trails. Did a trip to Va WV from upstate NY and they are a great pavement tire. They are amazing in the rain with a great feel and way more grip than any other tire I have used in the wet.

On mountain roads, they allowed me to throw the bike into corners and push the front with total confidence. Great tire. At about 1200 miles, the front looked and felt new and the rear was just starting to show a touch of wear in the middle. We were fully loaded for the trip and the rest of the miles were two up commuting, so I think they will last well.

Great tire for me so far. Will be trying them on a VStrom next.

I was down to the wear bars on the rear PR4 Trail at 4800 miles. I've changed the rear to a standard PR4 as there is still plenty of wear left on the front. The grip is great but the wear rate is too steep for me so I may be trying something else at the next change unless the mileage improves (I got 5300 off the original Tourance Exp).

I have a pr4 trail on the front and pr4 regular on the rear. There's about 3500 miles on them and plenty of tread left albeit the rear is starting to flatten out in the middle. I was in Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia on a variety of highways and mountain road twisties. Had a couple of rain days too. Great tires.

I also have the regular RP4 on the rear ( and trail up front) and now have 6500 miles on it. It is in fantastic shape with just a bit of flattening. My OEM Torrance EXP was done at 5,800. I have another 4,600 miles to do on my current coast to coast run and I expect to make on this same tire.
I have read the PR fluff from Michelin and the press releases but have yet to hear any explanation for the soft center rubber on the trail version that makes any sense to me ::) Actually it seems like a really dumb idea to me but maybe there really IS a good reason I just haven't heard yet.
When I get home, I will be spooning on a new regular RP4 for sure. ::008::
