300 miles all off road...that would be my LAST choice of those three :)

Man, that looks like fun. I have a buddy in Short Hills that's over due for a visit. Maybe I'll join you.
Isn't it kinda cold in November up there?

$35.00 dinner ??? Maybe it's an open bar :D

Yeah...I figured...but everyone swears the K60 is so magical around these parts I just wasn't sure.

I guess Kenda Big Blocks will get the nod since they are over $100 cheaper than the TKCs.

Yeah, November could be cold. That is fine by me because the speeds will be slower (for me) and I'll be able to wear respectable protective gear more comfortably.

$35 dinner. Stuff is expensive in NJ...remember?

If you go by the pictures it shows nothing challenging as far as the type of dirt and the K60's would be fine. BUT its says DOT knobbies are required so there must be more to the story, so likely better off with them.

Do you think K60s would be an "acceptable" tire choice?

Would I be better off with a TKC 80 or Big Block?

ac
No. The pictures are deceptive, imho. This part
as the course will consist of woods roads with whoops, deep sand, and mud
screams TKC80s, but I haven't experienced the big blocks. I can tell you that in deep or powdery sand, the K60s are not very good and require speed and skill to avoid digging a hole. Either would probably do the job better than the K60s, especially with some reduced tire pressure.

For anyone unfamiliar with the NJ Pine Barrens, think Glamis Sand Dunes w/ trees.

I'm leaning towards the Kenda Big Blocks.

Pirelli Scorpion Rally is also something to consider. I wore out a set on mine and they worked well in loose conditions. Lots of forward drive. It will get a bit tail happy though since the knobs are basically solid bars. I got 2700 miles out of mine and I have a lead wrist.

K60's are OK but on this heavy beast I would pull for the big guns for sand and TC off.
Also start working your upper body out as well that deep stuff pulls you around a bit.

I have quite a bit of experience the Florida sugar sand, and the K60's will get the job done, but it won't be fun
