It's official... another S10 in Oregon

After two years of thinking about the Tenere (ever since I first saw it over on ADVrider), and a solid year of saving and planning, and reading every post on this site and others, and much deliberation with my wife and riding buddies, I am super excited to be "officially" joining the club!

Struck a deal with the local shop yesterday and ordered a Raven S10. It'll arrive in 1-2 weeks and I'll post some photos then.

I've had a GSA, Wee Strom and a number of other bikes over the years. This is the one I plan to keep.

welcome advd in Oregon? There is a fully loaded one in Easten Oregon for sale listed here in vendor section if you can't wait, and want a Blue one!!!

I've seen that one in Pendleton listed HoebSTer, but, we all know which color is fastest! )

I've purchased quite a few bikes and ATVs from my local dealer over the years and he took care of me this time too.

Any chance you can change your color choice before they send it? You will be dissapointed with the Raven..it has no soul and is a couple of MPH slower ::26::

Well after a somewhat storied process, I wound up getting my new S10 from a different dealer than I started with Wednesday night. Spent last night after work installing a bunch of "must haves", and I rode it to work for the first time this morning!

A few questions & comments:

1) How do you guys keep the smile off of your face?

2) I don't know what people are talking about when they speak of "vibes" and "low power"... Coming from a Wee Strom, this thing is the most fun I've ever had. I like the riding experience even better than when I had my 2007 R1200GSA.

3) I don't know how to keep it slow. I turn my wrist slightly and am instantly at 4-5K RPMs and 75 MPH. How do you do it?
