I'm relatively a new rider on my XT1200Z ES, AND WAS WONDERING WHY THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WILL GO PARTIAL PANEL SOMETIMES ON THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY. THIS HAS OCCURRED TWO OR THREE TIMES IN THE LAST 4000 MILES. I HAVE, BUT NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT, ANYTHING IN THE MANUAL. IN PAST EXPERIENCES ON OTHER EQUIPMENT IT WAS A REDUCTION IN POWER SOURCE TO THE ECU. I'M CURRENTLY WRITING IT OFF TO OPERATOR ERROR FOR NOW, CAN ANYONE SHED ANY LIGHT ON THIS?

Welcome wobbler.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by" partial panel "....do you mean that part of the display is missing, if so is it the same part or different on each occurrence

Are you low on gas when it happens, and you just get a number at the bottom right?

Coming from tech support, gotta ask...grin.

nope, mostly all the same data each time, reducing the readout to basic info instead of the entire screen. Usually the data which is left is at the bottom of the screen. This was my first post, thought I'd give it a kick and see what kind of response I'd get. If I come up empty, I plan on seeking out Yamaha Technical Support. I found dealer support limiting. ::010:: ::010::
