What clutch fluid we running fellow human beings?

Completion of this thread draws near.
Just make sure you don’t put dot 5 (synthetic) into the system that has had dot 4 in it (mineral).
It will turn to jelly and you’ll need to replace everything.
Dot 4 is what you want.

Dot 4 is what you want.
All brake fluids are synthetic. The difference is that Dot 3/4 are glycol based and Dot 5 is silicone based. Another difference is that Dot 5 is a liquid, but it is compressible. That is the reason Harleys using Dot 5 had soft mushy brakes and Harley changed newer bikes over to Dot 4.
