I would like to know about US spec and EU spec , how it's different

I'll detail the Euro Spec using US spec as a ref.

-Euro spec. has an immobilizer system; U.S. spec doesn't.
-Euro spec. has a 4-way flasher and flash to pass; U.S. spec doesn't.
-Euro spec. doen't have running lights in the turn signals; U.S. spec does.
-Euro spec. has properly sized turn signals; U.S. spec has big, bulbous, borderline herniated ones.
-Euro spec. impact blue comes with silver side panels; U.S. spec impact blue has black side panels.
-Euro spec. allows leveling the rear rack with the rack under the pillion seat without mods: U. S. spec requires mod to the passenger grab rails or the spacers of those rails.

There are other niggling details like available accessory packages, paint schemes, etc.

Where did you see or hear that? ???

I didn't have to modify my passenger grab rails at all when I mounted the rear rack in the low position. I did that on my S-10 on almost day one as I knew I'd never mount the Yamaha top-case (which requires the black plastic piece under the rack), and I didn't do anything except remove the black plastic piece and follow the instructions. No mods necessary.

Rode all the way to Alabama and back in October. with a big bag stowed on the lowered rack, too, and no problems.
I have an Altrider rack now (install only a month or so ago) and it required no mods, either.

Yeah, I shouldn't have made such a general statement. I think the second wave of U.S. spec S10s had something change with the spacers for the grab rails, because the guys who got the earlier shipments report no problems.

No, I got one of the first and I had to dremel two small notches in the rack in order to clear the hand rails. As I mentioned elsewhere, I was surprised when I first read of people having to do this, as I made the video on Niehaus Cycles website in January, 2011 with a euro spec bike and had no problem. With mine and according to others on this site, there was interference with several. Dallara is the first I have read that had no interference problems with a USA spec bike.

I suppose the radiation just affected the bikes differently, either that or they got some Chinese ones mixed up with the Japanese ones.

I just went out in the garage and looked at my stock rack, which is off the bike now that the Altrider rack is on, and no marks, rubs, or other signs of any interference with the grab rails. Nor do the grab rails show any evidence of anything touching.

And my Super Tenere was ordered the morning of the first day of ordering in 2010, and it arrived at my dealer on July 28, 2011, and I took delivery on August 3, 2011.

Yeah, that is weird. When our bikes arrived and I saw the first post by someone who found the interference while lowering the rack, I told him that there should be no problem, just look at my video. I was then surprised when I went to lower mine and found that there was a bit of a problem. Not a big deal, as a little dremel action took care of it. Our Yamaha rep said there was a difference in the USA handguards or handguard spacing. As I said, yours is the first USA bike that I have heard of that had no fitment problem.

Mine was also ordered the morning of Sept 1, 2010 and I took it home July 28, 2011.

My experience is exactly like Dallara's. Zero problems, took me about 10 minutes. I got my bike in July 31. In looking at mine a few minutes ago, the parts are probably touching but I didn't notice anything during installation.
