Just ordered my skid plate and don't-crash bars.

Twisted Throttle got my business, went with SW-Motech...cost partially, but also the ability to add freeway pegs. I like to do long days and pushing legs forward really helps after mile 400.

So, only thing left to order is bags: Caribou set-up with the 36L Pelican Storms.

I'd be all set...if I had the bike to put them on.

That will be a nice setup for sure. I keep looking and reading. Made a cardboard box the size of the pelican case and trekker to see the difference. I'll probably wait till the last minute.

I finally had to make a decision and was waffling back and forth between the SW-Motech and ADVRider....heck, I'm more long-distance tourer, going sometimes off-road...I decided I was over-analyzing it and went with a lighter plate, not thinking I'll need anything heavier.

Plus, I do want to try and keep the overall weight down.

"ADVRider"? ??? A Freudian slip, no doubt

I ordered the Altrider bash plate from Revzilla. Had $15 Revzilla bucks and free shipping. Total cost was something like $325.
