Well, I have the Beastie Boulevard C109R up for sale, against the wishes of the wife ::005:: Prices are starting to drop on the remaining 2012 STs and I hope to be riding with you folks for a few years. I recognize a few names from the KLR and Strom Trooper forums so I'll feel right at home.

I lived in the Yahoo KLR forum for several years, culminating with a Denver to Deadhorse ride in '05 and eventually sold the green monster to a ranching friend in '08. The KLR user group was awesome and I think you'll find this one even better. Since the Tenere is newer and a bit more high tech than the KLR, I have noticed fewer references to BFHs being used though ::012::

Howdy Oldguy!!! It will be an amazing transformation over to the Tenere. It may even be more comfy for the Mrs. if she rides at all. It may help in the convincing part.

Greetings fellow Washingtonian. I was in your neck of the woods just yesterday. I could have stopped by. You and your significant other could have gone on a test ride. I know one or both of you would have been smiling. Welcome and we'll see you around the PNW. Barry

Hey, Old Guy - greetings from that big Leftist County up in West-Central WA.
I just bought one Friday. Okay deal, but I sense the prices will continue to drop as they try and clear the 2012's. There are several left in various dealer's inventory.
Hurry up and get one. I couldn't wait any longer and caved shortly after it was announced that the only difference with the 2013's is the paint.
They are amazing machine and I am still smiling from this past weekend.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm trying to get my local dealer to cut loose with a test ride but no such luck ::010:: I was able to take the Triumph Explorer out and really enjoyed the triple, but I like the ST just a bit more.

Give Sublimity Power Sports a call -- I just picked up one at the end of August for $12,500 out the door. Getting close to the first service mileage, which I'll do myself. John in La Center.

OBUG,

If you really want to shake out this thing - better than any dealer would let you - I have to plug GSM Motorent in Tennessee on the edge of the Greater Smoky Mountains. They rent this one:

Worth the trip. Dan is a great host and let's you (encourages you!) to take it off road. A weekend on it convinced me to pull the trigger.
