How often do you do a throttle body synch?

Back in August '15 I posted about a weird vibration in my engine on a 2014 Super Tenere ( http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=16628.msg255150#msg255150 ). The bike had 13000 miles on it at that time. I did a throttle body synch and changed the plugs, and it cleared up. Now, five months and 4000 miles later, I seem to be experiencing it again. I'm just curious about how often the rest of you find that you have to do a throttle body synch, and if 4000 miles seems like an unusually a short interval between synchronizations. I haven't pulled the plugs yet to see what they look like, but 4000 miles seems like a pretty short lifespan for a spark plug. The bike doesn't act like it it's missing a plug; fuel consumption hasn't changed, the bike's power is normal, idle is normal, no hard start issues. Nothing is loose on the bike that would account for the vibration.

I just ordered my own Carb Tune, so I won't have to borrow my neighbor's; if this is something I have to do fairly often, it seems like a good idea to have my own.

From what I have read elsewhere, the rubber caps removed to do the TB synch can eventually work loose, which may be the issue here.

I did the throttle body synch today, and that seemed to correct that weird vibration.

One thing that did come up that was unusual was that during the synchronization, I actually ran out of adjustment room on the non-standard throttle body. I was just able to get it into synch, but the adjustment screw was all the way in. Even though I haven't experienced the off idle issue, I did the air screw adjustment on the standard cylinder described in this thread (http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=1973.0), and that allowed me to synch the throttle bodies with adjustment to spare. Hopefully, this will correct the problem for a while.

RCinNC I have exactly the same problem. I had the TB sync done on my last service and I immediately felt the change - smoother running with less vibration, better fuel consumption (about 20 more miles on a full tank) ) I also had a weird surge in revs when accelerating and that went too. Now 4,000 mile later and on the last couple of rides the vibes are back, the fuel consumption is lower again and the surge is back !

I was wondering how you have found things since your original post ?

Any thoughts from anyone else would be appreciated. Thanks

I will also add that I fitted a Yoshimura RS4 about a thousand miles ago, but it's only in the last 500 miles that I have noticed the above
