Off of Hwy 4, near Ebbett's Pass. Great road up, five or six miles of Forest Service roads back to the lakes. We can drop down to Markleeville for lunch (great ride down the east side) or back track to what looks good. It has literally been decades since I've been back there. They've paved the first mile or so. The turn off sneaks up on you, we may get to practice our U-turn tactics, LOL.
Again, Sutter Hill Chevron puts us on 49 for the run down to 4 through Murphy's. Or we can run south and east from here and catch 4 below Copperopolis.
Six of one, half dozen of the other.
We should be started early, say 9 from where-ever. I'll let the attendees decide where.
Let's Ride!

Sure looks like a nice ride on Sunday! I'm up for it so make sure you let me know were to meet you. Weekend before last I went up Hwy 4 with my son up to Murphy's and thats as far as we went as it was getting late. We could meet in Sutter Hill Chevron that would be real good spot to start.

Working again!!!! Soon!!!! I hope to soon hook up with all of you!!!!!

Today's ride for me was just over 300 miles again. Icehouse, Loon lake, Wentworth Springs, wrap around and ended up in Truckee, swung around and back home to Folsom. Fantastic!!!!! Oh, and hot diggity this thing is pretty spectacular on the dirt roads I played around on.

I'd think about going, but I don't want to get my bike dirty, yet.

LOL, it's only dust. My very old recollections of the Highland Lake road was that there weren't any creek crossings. That could very well have changed with the winter that we had up there. I do recall one fairly steep, short climb. My 2WD Datsun got up it. I think this bike may have more torque than that old PU. Might be a good spot to try the various traction settings.

Jeff and I had a great day. We got to run these beasties over a fair bit of rough stuff, up hill and of course back down. Got back to the end of the road and the lakes are still where I remembered them to be! TCS off and Sport mode could be a lot of fun in the future. ABS was very polite on the steeper rough stuff.
We've decided a whole bunch of people are getting their CDL from a Crackerjacks box. Sheesh
???
