Hi all,
After a Honda Transalp and two Honda Varadero's I was of the opinion that Honda had no good offer in new bikes, I didn't like the new crosstourer, so I tried in october last year the Yam S10 and and last in the factory of Touratech in southern Germany, where a ST with full Touratech options stood, I said to my wife, "that will be my next bike".
I ordered it in december to be delivered in februari this year. I then drove to Hamburg Touratech and bought me nice crashbars, alu skidplate, new bars for my old Touratech alu luggage boxes, new topcase and ajustable screen mounting with big screen and started to change and mount this parts.
Although you'll never hear me saying anything bad about the Honda's (I drove 200.000 km's with them without any problem) I can only say that the ST is a very nice bike wich fits me like a glove. Very smooth in curvings, enough power and very good riding position. I only have to get used to the difference in real speed and my lower "feeling" speed, so that I have to use the brakes more heavily than on the Honda's.
So I hope to find a new and extra forum with information for me and my new bike, and I am always willing to help other people with their questions, may be special for non Europeans when they want to travel once here in Europe.
My travel experience goes as far as Turkiye in the south east and Portugal in the south west. Have never been on motorbike to Scandinavia but want to try that in the next years with the ST
Grtz,
