I'm also 1.7m tall. That's one of the reasons I mention developing skill. Tall bikes can be difficult but there are many tricks; the best being to get comfortable standing on the pegs all the time, sliding your ass to one side at a stop, etc. If you're ever on You Tube, check out Jocelyn Snow. She's barely over 1.5m tall and is a pro...on a GS1250; a very tall bike.
