Hello everyone,
I've been reading posts on this forum for over a year now.

Finally sold my Aprilia and am in the market for a new steed.

The Yamaha Super Tenere is in the top 3 of my list, along with a BMW r1200gs and Suzuki v strom 1000 (2014+ models). The new AT is an attractive package, but not with tubed tires.

I'm definitely leaning toward the S10 and pulling the trigger in the next week or two. I definitely believe that with cruise and shaft, it's worth the extra $$$ over a heavily discounted 2014 V2.

Just am not sure now if I should go with the 2015 ES or standard model - about $1500 difference from the vendor most convenient for me to purchase from. Understand the benefits of the ES - probably very beneficial for the varying riding conditions I encounter on a weekly basis. But, this is a bike I plan on keeping for the long haul, so am wondering about future suspension replacements and general reliability/costs.

Looking forward to learning more of this friendly community/forum, and hopefully contribute to it as well.

If you plan on keeping for the long haul, murdock2002, ES is the way to go, IMO,
with repairs estimated to be no higher than a standard suspension,
based on the same system used for years on the FJR, with a simple hello.....
