Hey all,
I've been riding for 20+ years and have had all sorts of bikes and scooters. My most recent bike was the Honda 2014 CTX1300 Deluxe. BTW, I'm done with Honda in respect to fit/finish/quality.
Just picked up my new '14 ES this past Saturday. Had to drive 240 miles to get it and closed the deal (both trade and purchase) over the phone. Great dealer and even more importantly an awesome bike. I'm really stoked as I wanted the black/grey vs. the '15 that's red/black. I can't get over how plush the ride on this bike is when you set up the suspension correctly. There are like 80+ settings with the ES.
This bike feels lighter than my '13 FJR1300 especially when lifting off the side stand or moving around. That indicates its CG is much lower. Anyways, I connected my battery tender pigtail and went over the bike from front to back and top to bottom and can't get over the quality, fit and finish. I've ordered OEM accessories (as I like them and ordered the blk top case and side cases, engine guards, piaa light mount for my vision X LED lights, tall windshield and wind side deflectors. I was informed that the new part number and design of the OEM skid plate won't be available until March, so will have to wait till then. I was also contemplating purchasing the low seat, however, I feel quite comfortable even while on the balls of my feet - I'm 5' 8" with a 30 inseam - so I'll wait on that.
I'm also going to purchase the RAM claw to install on the windshield bar so as to utilize all the RAM stuff for phone and GPS.
Anyone know of a good and reliable source to purchase a genuine Factory Service Manual in PDF form? I prefer PDF because I can find things much faster and use my phone when in a fix.
