TC and ABS compare wheel speed to determine wheel slip or slide. A 21 is 65 inches in circumference while the stock 19 is 59 inches in circ. Rear is 53 inches. So one complete rotation of the front with a 21 is 1.25 rotation with the stock rear and and only 1.1 with the stock front. This will be slightly compounded when you actually put tires on the wheels (I'm not a math guy so my numbers might be messed up). Upon acceleration (with a 21 vs 19) the rear will rotate more (smaller diameter, same distance, more wheel used) compared to the front so TC will cut power? On breaking the rear will also rotate more so it will trigger the front ABS earlier? I would be surprised if it wasn't an "easy" fix in the TC/ABS brain.

This is starting to make my head hurt. If you have knobbies and the rear wears faster you could have a similar problem right? I assume there is some way the bike can adjust for this

All this being said, I want one ::012::

The sensors for the wheels are mounted in the hubs. Shouldn't matter what size wheels or tires as long as you don't change the hub.

I don't think that is correct. (I may be wrong). Take a wheel with a 50 unit circumference and a wheel with a 100 unit circumference and roll them 200 units. 50 wheel rotates 4 times (1440 degrees), 100 wheel rotates twice (720 degrees). ?If they both roll the same distance the small hub is rotating twice as fast? Talking circles and rotation makes my head hurt. If you added more magnets to the hub, you could fix it but that is serious math and fabrication.

I still want a 21"

i built two GS1200 with woodys wheels i special ordered 17" front and rear (i don't do off road unless i messed up) and both times they were ok with the ABS working ok, then i had a set built for the wife's GS800 and the ABS light would come on at about 55mph and then the ABS wouldn't work, so 19 to 17 was fine but 21 to 17 didn't work, i talked with woodys son chris about building me 17"s for the super 10 but they have the funny hubs where the threaded end of the spoke is at the hub end, makes drilling the rim impossible im told!

saved me a fortune this time lol
