Heated Seat or Pants?

I am about to order a Corbin seat and as I was clicking through the options I paused. Heated or not?

Price difference is $150. I could add a set of heated pants to my wardrobe for that price. They would go well with my jacket and gloves.

So this begs the question:

Heated seat or pants?

Most over pants come with a liner, I've used mine very rarely and have never felt the need for heated pants.

The heated seat is great when you need just a few more btus first thing in the morning and is always with you. I would go with the
Seat.

The preceding opinion is worth exactly what you paid fit it.

I can do my ~40 minute commute in ~10F using my current heated jacket/gloves and Olympia suit combo. I have felt my butt get chilly so that is why I thought about the seat. I'm not sure I could deal with the inconvenience of the pants as I am just about to threshold with my current setup. I'm thinking the seat is the way to go, I will probably use it a lot more. The heated gear really only works when it is touching your skin or a very thin piece of clothing. I imagine over jeans it won't work too well.

Seat, hands down! You will love it. As has been said, heated pants is just another thing to have to deal with and pack on the bike. Go with the seat!!! I had the Corbin heated seat on my R12GS Adventure and loved it as I did with my stock seat on my K1300GT.

Bun warmers rock!

+1 Heat with the flick of a switch, don't/can't leave home without it. My K12GT has a heated seat and as soon as Sargent has a heated seat available for the s10 ........... so will my Tenere!

I have my heated pants that I made and with a heated seat, I can't remember the last time I wore the heated pants. I have had several motos and to be honest, I like the OEM Tenere seat the best. I've been on Corbin and Sargents, hated the Corbin as it was a brick. If you spend 24 hours on a seat, none are going to be perfect, hence, I have an Airhawk cushion. Then I went a step further, I bought a heated pad from riderswearhouse (aerostich) and put the pad inside the airhawk and run the power cord to an SAE connector used for a battery tender or air compressor, works great.

This is very subjective. I had a heated corbin seat. Used it once or twice. it got too warm on my ass and leg's froze. Seeing as it's freezing out anyway, you're going to dress for the weather. My ass never got cold, it'll be your legs and toes. I won't buy another seat with heat. I use to follow around the Polar bear guys in North Jersey too.

::026:: For me, the heated seat is a waste of money. I have never had my butt so cold that it would need heat.. I do wear heated gear though.. lol
