Hi folks, so today I fitted a Heal Tech Speedo Healer to my S10. I carefully read the previous threads and looked at all the photos including the information on the Adventure rider site. I checked everything step by step as I went. I double checked before reassembling the bike and set up the SH and calibrated it. Went to start the bike and it only turns over and doesn't fire. Same as if you try and start with out the immobiliser key fitted. I then unplugged the SH and fitted the bypass plug to the end of the lead that it came with it so you can stop the SH from adjusting your speedo and the bike fires up like normal.
Before I take it all apart and check my connections has anyone got any previous experience like this or has any suggestions.
Thanks.

Hmmm, on close inspection and referring to the photos on the Adv Rider site, I think I may have chosen the wrong blue wire. I've also contacted the Healtech agents here in Aus to see what they think.

That was my thought. You only cut one wire, if it wasn't the VSS wire, that might cause your issues. The US does not have immobilizers, but on a US bike, when the VSS wire comes loose, you lose speedo and odo readings and ABS lights, check engine light and possible one other come on, but the bike still runs fine. I had that occur. Reconnecting the wire solved everything and the bike continued to run fine, all functions returned to normal.

Thanks for that EricV. There are 5 blue wires to choose from that connect to the ECU. One has a black trace, one a red trace and one a yellow trace. The other two are marked with grey dots. I’m going with the theory it’s the other wire with grey dots.

I would wait until you hear from Heal Tech before cutting another wire because the results might be even worse next time.

So this is the response from the Aussie Heal Tech dealer.
Hi

Your bike requires 2 x SpeedoHealer
2pcs SH-V4 + SH-U01

The supplementary manual you looked at is for the 2010 - 2013

Fantastic! Of zero help. Must have got the work experience kid to respond to my message which clearly spelt out what I had bought, what I had done and what didn't work.
At this stage Ive disconnected the SH and reconnected the wire I cut. The bike runs and rides fine but the engine check light is on. Anyone know if there is an easy reset for this light?
