That Pan is a really ugly bike!
Idk I think they look dope. But, who cares.
Not around here. They're 80% of the bikes on the road. And 95% of them wave back. Unlike the 95% of Beemer riders that don't.
AZ has it all. However, I've only seen like two Pan Ams since release on the road.

Speaks volumes.

It's an acquired taste.

Once you get it, it just looks like the manifestation of performance. Before you get it, it does look weird.
I guess Harley owners would sat the exact same thing.

I think the Super Ten is a stunning bike. Others think it looks like it is missing a chin.

I still think the Harley is a good looking bike except for the hand drier on the nose. But on the same token i tend to judge a bike more from the riders seat and liked the way it looked from there. The left side of the motor looks kind of cluttered but again i dont really see it from the riding position. I think that bike will make a great sport touring bike and does a very good job at an ADV bike. It seems Harley has made some small improvements but the bike also seems to have fallen out of the main stream advertising and interest.

The lack of mainstream interest could be that it's not the "normal" Harley. ForEVER, Harley has elicited a specific image. This new bike does not meet that expected image. I did see one of their new Road Glides (?) and there was a bit of similarity in the fairing look with the Pan America. And why does the left side of the engine look different from the right? Looks to be a cover on the right, but not the left.

People's interest in King of the Baggers has been good for the RoadGlide. It has shown HD that there is a market for more than loud stereos and loud exhaust. The RoadGlide is actually getting improvements that increase performance. Ish

The top end of the Pan America motor was rehashed from the V-Rod. Yes the left side of the head is different than the right and yes 1 side has a cover, Don't ask me why.

Harley appears to be doubling down on the Pan America. It was surprising enough that they made an ADV bike, but now a Sport Tour? Wow.

New Harley-Davidson Pan America ST And Pan America Special: Which One To Buy?

I’m guessing even Harley themselves aren’t convinced about the styling, looked through the link and there doesn’t appear to be a single picture of either bike other than this one, which hardly shows the new model.
The only ones I’ve seen over here have been on dealers fronts or at the offroad school I go to in Wale, which is Harleys uk offroad school too. At £400 for the day I’ll stick to their normal Beta300 ‘on the mountain days’ instead.

It is really an unfair statement to say the Pan Americas engine looks cluttered on the left because those parts have to go some place and at least on that bike if you hydro locked it in a water crossing you could get the plugs out easy and clear it out. The fact is most manufacturers that have exposed motors are looking more and more like a magnet drug through a junk yard. Odd shapes and with bits, parts, wires and hoses hanging off all over. All in all the Harley looks a lot cleaner than a lot of bikes. I still think it was a great effort by Harley. I kind of wondered about the servo motors timing the cams but that is one thing i have not heard a issue out of. I know one person who owns one and is very hard on bikes and so far i have not heard of any issues out of his.

I wasn't being critical of the engine. I was just wondering why they didn't cover the left like the right.
