Greetings, ladies & gents!

I just to approved to join, so thank you.....thankyouverymuch.

Long story short: I was a sport bike guy (FZ-600, FZ-1, R-6S) until I found H-D V-Rod's. Got a Street Rod and loved it so much that my R6-S gathered dust and was eventually sold. Had to have a spinal fusion (bad day) and coupled with a souvenir from the Iraq/Afghanistan wars (pretty much destroyed shoulder) I had to sell the Street Rod and ended up on a V-Rod Muscle due to the somewhat "kinder" riding position.

I like to wrench on my toys, and am at the point of not having much to do on either my or my wife's bike. And, since I live in Colorado and a bunch of my friends have ADV bikes......

..... well, here I am. I've been doing a fair bit of research, and keep coming back to the Super 10-- in fact I have a test ride scheduled in the next few days.

Because I'm a fairly technical and list-driven person I've done research up the wazoo and already have a list of what I'd like to do to the bike.

Sadly (and I'm *really* "Grr!" on this part-- I missed out on the Deal of the Century by TenereHawk-- he sold his bike the day I started looking..... after it being for sale for five weeks!)

There's no justice in the world, but that gives you a pretty good idea of my luck!

I'm looking for a new-old-stock or low mileage red 2015 ES, but the dealers around here pretty much want to sell them for almost what a new '16 is, so that's out. since I've got a perfectly good bike, I'm going to be (reasonably) patient and wait until I find "my" bike.

So, if anyone knows were one of those are languishing at their local dealer, please do let me know! I'm a pilot, so flying out to a bike isn't a biggie, and I also have a Kendon trailer and it really should be used more!

Other than that, happy to be here, proud to serve!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. I'd keep an eye peeled on the for sale thread on this forum as well as craigslist. Of course there are other magazines and sites that sale bikes but I've found the best deals are here or craigslist.

I hope you find "your" bike soon. So much fun to ride this bike. AND so comfortable. My cruiser and my sport bike sit in the corner of my garage feeling sorry for themselves most of the time.

My timing is..... horrible. I would have snatched up TenereHawk's bike in a heartbeat, IF I'd seen it 48 hours earlier.

I've searched here, Craigslist (Nationwide), CycleTrader and AutoTrader. No joy. The majority of the information seems to be incorrect-- website says Dealer X has a bike, but they really don't.

Would you have any other suggestions on other places to search?

Additionally, is there any way to do an ACCURATE dealer search? I really don't think I can walk into the dealer and ask them to search for a bike that they don't have, but I'd like to know where to look.

I can pretty much fly to any major city, trailer the bike on my Kendon, or even would consider shipping.

Honestly, I have a fairly bad case of the "Wants"-- I don't *need* a bike, but I'm hearing this one calling to me. And silly as it might be (and I've done a LOT of silly with bikes), I really kindofsortof have my heart on a new or almost new Red '15 ES.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'm about out of ideas, other than paying a dealer the same price as a new '16.

Cheers--

Don't discount the option of getting a wrong color ES. Paint isn't that bad in Colorado. It's cheaper to buy the tin/plastic here in California.

I "almost" feel guilty welcoming you to the forum......... I'm the guy who bought TenereHawk's '15 ES.

Timing is everything, they say. I recently sold my FJR and was going to just settle in with my Wee and call it good - and then one day I'm looking around for other ADV bikes and decided to log back in to my old stomping grounds. There was Dan's ES and we made the deal in less than an hour. The real drag was I was not able to go get the bike until this week. I just got home today.

Anyway, this doesn't help you - but I'll sure keep my eyes peeled for any others out there.

Good luck and ::004:: to the forum!!!!

::004:: from Alma,Arkansas. Thanks for your service, it will allow my children to grow up and be safe.

Check Reno's Powersports in Kansas City, Mo. You can check his online inventory for new or used bikes. Steve is a great dealer and even though it is a 500 mile round trip for me, I contact him when I am looking for a bike to buy or trade. I have bought four bikes from him and we both walk away happy.

Good Luck on the search.
