Hi folks. Newbie to this forum (but a grizzled old fart m-c "enthusiast"). Checked out the Super Ten at the Vancouver bike show yesterday. For me at least, it's a very comfortable machine with plenty of great features. Needs "farkling" though.... ;) I need something for an Alaskan adventure in 2012 and this looks like the piece.

Ride on guys... :))

Welcome aboard Arrowsmith!!!!! When do you expect to order and what color are you considering?

Myself and 3 others are planning a trip to Alaska in 2012 as well. Two will be on KLR650's and two of us will be on SuperT's!

We'll wave if we see ya!!!

:D

Hi...gonna order it pretty quick (within two weeks). Black looks like the plan for me.

Most of my pals are riding......Harley's. Ouch ::). I've been there, done that. I just want a capable, comfortable, reliable machine that I can use on pavement, gravel and logging roads. My plan (at least) is to make the Arctic Circle and beyond. I don't think the Electra Glides will be going along...L-O-L.

And I'll be sure to wave! :))

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. And yes, the Island is full of great roads. The logging ones are, well, awesome....but that's my opinion :))

(BTW: if you want to know where i live...find Mount Arrowsmith on Vancouver Island -- that's my "hood" ...L-O-L ...I figure it's Tenere country)

arrow, by the bragging of the good roads, it sounds like you are going to have to host a weekend ride in your hood!!! Hahahaha!!!!

Arrow smith,

Welcome to the waiting room! I have done some road riding in BC and it is truly a beautiful place. I have bgwm as far north as the Bell II Lodge on the Cassiar HWY while visiting Hyder, AK. No gravel roads for me as the ST1300 is by no means a ADV bike! The S10 will be much more at home in that environment and I look forward to getting off the beaten path.
