Just signed in for the first time. I have been riding dirt bikes and street bikes for over 25 years. Just turned 41 and not sure if its the mid life crisis or I just want to have some more fun my next 40 years. I just want to state that I love anything that says Yamaha, has two or four wheels and goes fast. I have really been considering getting a Tenere, but just cant seem to go for it and make the investment! There are many things to consider, I work 50 hours a week, commute 15 and have a beautiful family with three young boys. My wife is supportive and loves riding also. My two older boys ride dirt bikes and Im going to start working on my little guy. I picture me and the three boys some day picking places to go riding and camping. Oh yeah, maybe we'll bring the wife. I would just like to say hello to all those out there enjoying their Teneres and would love to hear some stories about what Im missing out there. Stay Safe and Godspeed!

Welcome on, Elbiluco from the South. Welcome to the Forum. The Tenere is for sure a major investment, and it sounds like you're giving it a lot of thought. All I can say is you won't be disappointed. Good luck with your decision. Keep us posted. ::004:: R. ::022::

::004:: Elbiluco.

Gave the S10 a lot of thought myself. Then went and bought one. Very Happy.

Needed somethimg to ride solo AND take myself and son/daughter on rides with STUFF. Works well everywhere except maybe 1000km of soft sand.

For that I would take 2 x 250cc.

Cheers
Graham

I have been reading this and other forums for several months now. Its been a while since I have swung a leg over the seat. I told the wife about it and at first she didnt want me to do it. The father in law over heard our conversation and told her, "let the man have his motorcycle". She called me back and said,"You know what, we wont get any younger, get it!" With a beautiful wife and three boys its hard to fork out 12-13k. I've been waiting for the right time. Looks like Christmas boys...... Here she is.....
God Bless! Stay safe on the road and Godspeed!
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!!!

Got my bike this weekend! Took a drive out to Texas with my oldest son. Had an awesome day with him. He is one of three boys. I had such a great trip with him that picking up the bike was the icing on the cake.
Got a pretty darn good deal. Givi bars, skid plate, tall windshield, lower seat and trashcans all included.
Took it out for a ride on Sunday, very nice. Weather is not very good and I had to work on Monday, so.....
Anyways, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
God Bless and Godspeed!!!

Greetings from D.C. and hope you enjoy the bike as much as I do. Seems it is becoming easier and easier to find a reason to ride ::001::

BROKEN LEG......

This is what I got for Christmas! Only rode the new bike two days and on Christmas day I slipped and got a spiral fracture on my fibula. I will be cooped up for about 8 weeks! Weather has not been great so, I'm not too bummed about it! Plus I get three to four weeks off work!
:'(

PS My wife is loving it me being home with a broken leg...lol ::005::

Ouch! Good you can handle your injury with such a good attitude, that helps healing. Hope you heal up fast and are able to quickly get back to enjoying your new STeed with your son or solo.

Thanks to all. It has been seven weeks since I broke my leg. I got to stay home for 6 weeks and it was great. Believe it or not had a great time with the kids and the wife.
All I could do was hop around the house in crutches and hop to the shed. I perused through the S10 forums and decided to do a couple of things to my bike. A little paint here, front black fender, some carbon fiber look here and there, nothing fancy just wanted to make it my own..... Two or three more weeks in a boot and hopefully some therapy and I shopuld be back on the road. God bless y'all and have a great spring, summer and rest of the year!!!
