I'm looking into buying a Super Ténéré soon, and am happy to see that this bike looks like it will fill the bill for all of my needs, including lots of long-distance touring, commuting, weekend road trips, and just general use as my primary vehicle.

I currently ride a 2000 Kawasaki Concours, and still love it dearly, alas, she doesn't work too well on dirt and gravel, so an adventure tourer it is!

Really looking forward to going to one of the regional meetups on here as well, as I love meeting new people and going to ride to cool places!

Funny thing, RoboCop, I was in Grove, OK last summer, while out with the Concours Owners' Group in Eureka Springs, AR, for our National Rally. Going to be passing through again this year on my way back from our National in Idaho Falls, so will certainly take you up on that!

Anyone interested in getting together for the Romney Cycles event in West Virginia the weekend of May 3-5?

Depending on the route it's @ 4 hours from Philly to Romney.

We could pick a rally point that is convenient for everyone.

No adventure touring club that I am aware of.

There are LOTS of ADVRider folks in the NYC - Philly corridor that get together some times for rides and informal gatherings.

Check out the ADVRider site. Look for the Greater Flugistan section of the regional forums.
Subscribe to that and you will be in the loop for things going on.

I did got to Action Yamaha but ended up getting mine from Flemington Yamaha which got me an overall better deal on the bike an accessories.
