Little bit about me...I grew up in London but have been living in Istanbul since 2000. Been riding an '03 1150GS for the past 5 years, which has faithfully taken me all over Turkey a couple of times and a stint around Europe last year. Also riding & a '14 WR250R (currently on Warp9 SM setup) for idiot mode riding be it in the woods or city
Both my wife and I love the GS, but I think it's time to move on as the old girl is showing her age with niggling problems here and there. Also, I had a serious accident a couple of weeks ago where I hit an elderly pedestrian (ran in front of me under an unlit underpass on a blind corner) the day I picked her up from getting an idle problem fixed. The old boy is alive, with 4 broken ribs and a badly broken ankle. The GS needs a new beak and another part...no idea what it's called...but shouldn't cost too much to fix.
My mechanic is sorting the old girl out and making her fresh again...and will hopefully find her a new owner. Once sold I plan on getting an S10 asap, second hand or new I'm not decided yet. The newer version is tempting, but a low milage fully loaded gal is equally appealing. Either way, I'm glad to be here ::008::
