I have the battery back pack and the LCD back pack, mount it using a ram mount on the handlebars with a titanium fishing leader as a safety wire.

The battery back pack is cool, but the LCD back pack is the best (you can only use one or the other). The LCD back pack lets you line up the picture and change settings on the camera without having to try to interpret that little screen on the front. And it has a button (comes with different backs for the shell) to turn off the screen once you've got it set, to keep it from eating the battery. Definitely worth it imho.

The battery backpack doubles the run time between charges, and can be used to charge a battery separately (it holds a battery identical to the one in the camera, and has it's own charging port). I haven't found I needed that much time between battery changes, so prefer to use the LCD backpack.

Oh, the safety wire is a must-have I think. GoPro doesn't make one, but it's a good idea to have some safety connector in case the mount breaks.

Of course, none of this is on my S10, as I'm one of those guys who hasn't heard from the dealer about delivery yet.

Good luck!

I did order the 'Adventure Touring' package, and, per the dealer I should be getting the Hero HD camera. Picking up bike tomorrow and hopefully a camera too. Will post again tomorrow to let everyone know for certain.

Checked with my dealer this week on the "Adventure package" with the GoPro camera. He contacted the local rep who said it was a limited promotion package and they were out of the cameras so the deal is no longer available. Also checked with the parts manager who said the Part Number for the adventure package was no longer in the Yamaha system. Should have ordered way back when. Has anyone heard anything different?

I ordered the adventure package as well when I ordered the bike, so my expectation is that the camera comes with the bike. My dealer even gave me a receipt for the adventure package.

Stopped by the dealer. They do have the camera and I will be getting that with the bike tomorrow! Hero Go Pro HD. Cool! Now I will have to learn video editing...

I bought the X-country terrain package and the adventure touring package and my dealer D & H Cycle in Cullman AL had both cameras for me and installed my accessories at no extra charge.

I ordered the comfort and convenience package from my dealer and the go pro arrived in the same box from Yamaha that the rest of the stuff came in.

Yep, I got mine with the adventure package. My son has already grabbed it to play with. I haven't even looked at it yet. Sheesh
