I was looking around on the website, and found the Givi luggage racks for $170. Is this the newer "removable" version? Are they in stock?

BTW: they don't come up if you search by "what fits your bike"...

Hi AC.

The Givi SR371 is currently in stock. It does allow you to remove the case from the bike. It works with Givi Monokey Cases. I don't have any shots of this rack on a S10. Do me a favor - if you buy this rack send me some shots for our website.

My bad, I used the term "rack" and really meant saddle bag racks.

Item: Givi PL367

I THINK PLR367 is the updated Givi number.

I ordered a set of these from T T at Daytona Bike Week. They were out of stock at the time and I'm still waiting.

Regards, Paul

I have the PL367 sidecase racks installed. There are some unobtrusive fittings that you mount permanently to the bike, but the main part of the rack is removable. It is held together with trapped quarter-turn fasteners, they're like really large Dzus fasteners with security heads. The rack kit comes with the special driver to fit these fasteners.

I'll try to take some pictures to send to Kev, sometime this week.

Yeah, that sounds perfect.

Are you SURE your p/n is PL367? From what I found, it looks like Givi updated to plR367 when they switched from bolts to the 1/4 turn fasteners.

I don't know the part number of the thing I have - the box is already gone. But it has the quarter turn fasteners.

Kev probably has a record of what I have. Maybe he'll jump in.

Twistedthrottle,

If you can confirm you have the Givi PL367 IN STOCK, and they are the quick release style, you will have an order ASAP!

I confirmed with Jennifer from TT...these are NOT the quick release racks. There is 1 in stock if anyone is interested. I am going to keep looking for the quick release setup in stock.

Interesting. I didn't realize there were two types. I honestly don't much care about the quarter turn fasteners. When I opened the box and found them, I was surprised, but I don't care so I just shrugged and put it on. I don't expect to ever take it off, except when I'm home in my garage full of tools and I need it off to do some project or other.

Hi Guys.

You're actually both right. The are removable as long as they are the Givi PLR367 not the Givi PL367. Product page: HERE

We have none in stock but as long as it is in stock at Givi we can have them ship it directly to you. Give our toll-free Customer Service line a call and they can check Givi's inventory for you. 855-255-5550

Kev,

Unfortunately I ordered the racks last week from another place. Just so you know, they have been on backorder from Givi for over 6 weeks. I had an order with the local dealer that was just never getting filled and finally canceled that and placed the order with an online supplier that had stock.

Looks like Givi is having some trouble keeping up with demand on Tenere products in the US!

No worries there. Have you gotten it yet? How do you like it?

Kev,

I had them 4 days after ordering. The quality is first rate. I was most impressed with the packaging. That little piece of cardboard inside the shrink plastic to protect the racks from errant razor blade scratches was very impressive.

Fit and finish is great. The quick release fasteners are very easy to use and super fast. Once removed, what is left on the bike is very minimalistic.

I haven't gotten to try them out as actual "luggage" racks as I am still working out my Pelican mounts.

Thanks for clarifying the differences.

I have these racks as well using the Givi Trekker bag set. They really are a nice setup, it actually took me longer to unpack them than it did to install and mount the bags! It is also pretty nice to be able to use the side case or top case in any location with these racks which is pretty cool (IMO).

Only had them on for a few months and have not really loaded them up to much yet, so time will tell how durable they may be, but so far really happy I got these.

Don't ask me how I know, but the 33L side racks can easily fit 2 twelve packs of your favorite cold beverage in each side case. ::003::
