Fuel Pump stopped working

Hi folks.
Hoping you maybe able to help. My fuel pump has stopped working. Any ideas of why? Surely this isn't an item that should break down so soon. My bike is a 2011 S10 with about 76,000 miles on it. Cheers for any help...oh, and I've checked the fuses and all are ok.

Hi stu,

When you turn the key can you hear the fuel pump priming? If not, may not be getting power.

How did you determine the fuel pump was faulty?

Hi guys. Thanks for your replies. I've assumed it's not working because there is no sound of it 'priming' when I turn the key..and the bike wont start of course.

And sidestand switch have been known to fail.

Thanks again folks. How would I check/repair the kill switch circuit Ferrett? Dogdaze, surely the fuel pump would still prime even if the sidestand switch is faulty? Thanks folks
