***************************************SOLD*****************************************************

Bought this bike back in March. Fuel Tank recall was done prior to purchase. Bike currently has 2257 miles on it. I haven't installed the hardwire for the GPS (using the cigarette pwr now) or the seat. They were my fall projects. Has the following add ons:

Yamaha Skid Plate
Givi Engine Guard
Givi B33 Monokey Box
Givi Rack Mount
Madstad Windshield Mount with Cross Bar
Garmin 2720
National Cycle V-Stream Windshield
Corbin Heated Driver Seat
Ride On Adv Lower Links
2” Rox Pivot Handlebar Risers
Ride On Adv Brake and Clutch Long Lines

Nice set up at a good price. Shouldn't last long. Sorry you won't be able to enjoy it yourself. :(

You'll get more overall dollars if you strip off the farkles and sell them separately - especially the sheild/mount, Garmin, risers and topbox/mount. Same for the Corbin if you still have the stock seat. I was shocked at how much better I made out when I sold my Versys to make room for the Tenere. I ended up getting a little more for the bits and bike separately than I originally paid for the bike with all the bits on it - and that's after owning it for a year.

I couldn't decide if I want to de-farkle it or not. Its not like it has a lot. If I can't get near my asking price, I will probably sell the Corbin seat on its own.

I can't tell for sure by the photos but the left side in front of the tank looks damaged? It may be just a reflection on your bike in the photos.

No damage on this bike at all. Never down and never scratched. Sale of the bike is pending.

Well the transaction is all complete with the help of a friend of mine who lives in the same area. Now to get this puppy home and start some serious riding. Need to sell my BMW K1200LT to make a bit more room in the garage but at least the boss was supportive of me getting another bike. She does think that 5 is too many though!!

H2O are you also on the KLR forum? I am in Tucson and getting close to buying a ST.

Danno - yes I am the same one. I've had the klr for about 3 years now and love the bike but I do a lot of cross country trips (which is why I have the BMW) and the klr just wouldn't suit me for those 1000 mile days I tend to ride. We should hook up some time. I've got a couple of other friends who have KLRs also and maybe we can find a time to go on a nice ride. Can't wait to start riding the Tenere though. I was fortunate enough to do a demo ride in July and was sold on it right away. I had a FJR before the BMW which I absolutely loved (but the wife hated) and there are a number of similarities in how the two bikes handle. The FJR had much more HP but the Tenere is no slouch. The sport mode will give you all you need when you want performance.
