After a lot of miles and smiles on the FJR, I decided to trade in the FJR and put the vstrom up for sale.

Looking forward to a little cooler ride and future adventures!!

Bama people seem to be very active on Advrider as well. Who would have thought?

Well, I look forward to digging in. Big Number 1 here is town is who I ended up buying from and they did a terrible job of wiring in the accessories on the bike (all tied into the left hand harness that goes to the grip! what?! Why?!)

I will be learning and wrenching to get that corrected and also getting things customized to my liking. Top box and GPS are already installed! ::26::

::004:: from Oklahoma! I just talked with a gentleman who traded his 2011 FJR for a 2014 Tenere. He just loved the Tenere and couldn't see why he needed both bikes. He also has a Goldwing too...

I'm in Moody a good bit! We should get together sometime. Did you get the base or ES? After reading more, looks like it might have been worth it.

Hey Bama guys, check out the Alabama Super Tenere page on Facebook. It is seeing a lot of visits, need some posts now. If interest keeps growing I might start a webpage.

Welcome!

I consider myself a Bama person having lived, studied and worked in Tuscaloosa for 8.5 something years. Brought my wife to visit T-town after 14 years in 2014 and showed her the beautiful Uni. of Alabama, and my favourite area around Lake Tuscaloosa. I nearly cried when I came back to T-Town, such great memories and experiences and could not believe it that I finally revisited T-town. Stayed for only 3 days though. We are from Malaysia, BTW. Sad part is the massive destruction by a monster Tornado that changed some of T-town.

I just did the same thing, again - the first time was in 2012. I loved the FJRs smooth thrust, but hated the heat and weight. Plus it always sucked to ride past those rutted gravel roads where I really want to be.
