After trying to regular flat seat mod for free it was a bit too high so I thought why not do the low flat seat mod but instead of buying the bushings and drilling the hole in the bracket, I can just cut the OEM bushings down and adhere the old bushing to the catch. So I did... and it works. Maybe a touch loose but time will tell. 20230908_154008.jpg20230908_160606.jpg

I cut some plastic and bolted it to the tang on the underside of the seat to take up the space I created when I took the rubber bump stops out. It has worked for years. Looks like yours will work just as well.

Nice! Whatever gets the job done
Did you remove the the stops all together the make it lower in the back?

Yes I did. I took the back and middle stops out all together and I had to basically bend the latch at the font of the seat to go down into the lock after that. I like that set up very well! It does take a bit of fiddling to get the seat in if you don't know just how to do it but I can take it off and snap it back in as fast as any one with a stock seat.

I like the height of the lower seat position but I feel a bit cramped due to the reduced distance between the seat & the foot pegs, so I put it back up.

I'm only 5'7"and coming from a sporty bike so to me it feels really good. It's nice to have options though.
