This being my first adv bike and coming from the track/race scene, I am unsure how I should have my feet positioned on the pegs. With racing, it is all on teh toes all the time. With the massive rear rotor, I feel as though I should have my rear brake covered and ready.

So, what is the best position when riding trails, dirt, and gravel?

My feet never seem to stay in one place all that long, I seem to be constantly moving around on the pegs.

The only time I really have my foot covering the rear brakes is in traffic so I can hit both fr & rr if I have to, otherwise I usually use engine braking and the linked front to control speed.

Ok, I was going to leave this for more experienced and knowledgeable dirt riders... I would call myself a novice, but it's sat a while now.... so here is the novice response:

Standing on the pegs with the heel against the peg, essentially centered on the peg.
