Finally Got My New Bike

But unfortunately it is not a Super Tenere. I found a 2008 FJR1300AE and could not pass it up. It has paddle shifters so I can ride it with my bad leg. I have jacked the seat up and put lowering brackets on the pegs to stretch me out. It is still not S10 comfortable but I can ride it and that is all that matters. One thing I really loved about my Tenere is this forum. I have been a member of many forums but none that I enjoyed as much as this one. The good thing is the FJR forum seems to be an equally cool group of guys so I am looking forward to meeting new friends. Maybe one day my leg gets better and I can get an S10 and get back in the woods but for now I'm just happy to be riding. I'll check in from time to time to see what's happening over here.

I had an '07 AE. Great bike, somewhat noisy (wind noise/turbulence) but worked great with a cut down CeeBailey's shield. Watch that motor, the Feejer's are "sneaky fast". You'll be bopping along @ 60 or so just cruising and then look down and see the speedo registering 90!!! Did it to me a BUNCH of times. That is an intensely fast machine and the weird thing is it is a quiet and stable at 90 as it is as 60. Enjoy the ride!! ::022::

Great choice and nice bike. I love the FJR and when I bought my 2012 Tenere I kept my 2004 FJR.
Well the 2004 FJR is now gone as I traded it in for a 2013 FJR !
Still have the best of both worlds.
My grown son has just picked up a 2007 AE and it is a blast to ride.
