Nice write up ::008:: Please link the LED's if you can, ie, Ebay or similar. Also, if and when you ride out at night, please me us know what the light 'throw' is like, that is my main concern, that perhaps the LED's are not as good at distance compared to stock halogen....

Re: Fanless LED H7 uppd

This is how it become ..... The w5w locks more " yellow " in pictures .. That's not the case , they look like GOOD coulotmatch IRL ..

Soooooo : you need :

A little time , h7 led Gen. 5 , led w5w 6000 kelvin , you have to take of A little bit of cupper in the end of H7 ( goes outside the cupper " bands " ... And round of the corners of the " ballast " ( woud be great if it was just A little little bit smaller ;) ) .

Over and out .

Really interesting - Thanks

Unfortunately, the photos are SO big they are really hard to make sense of. Could you re-size them smaller?

Good to see more and better LED options becoming available, and no fan is a big plus. I just installed the Cyclops kit yesterday, but may have tried these if I'd known about them. Shaving off some plastic is no big deal vs. the 3x cost of the Cyclops (with fans). Fans are the weak link in a lot of equipment and I always try to avoid them if possible.

These are available on Amazon by the way, although at a much higher price than Ebay:

I keep hearing the fans are unreliable but for some reason I simply don't believe it.
I have Gen 2 Cyclops H7 LEDs on my Versys now nearly 3 years - fan is exposed to rain and elemets, bike lives outside in the open and is my daily comuter. H7 fan still going fine.

I wired a CPU fan into my poison dart frog tank, it is 95% humidity all the time and misted 2 times a day, that fan has been running 12hrs a day for 3 years.
