Effective Craigslist Searching?

Does anybody know of a way to search an entire state or area of Craigslist? It always makes you pick a city, and then only gives you nearby results. I want to effectively extend my searching range, and I'm not sure how to pull it off. If anybody has any tips please share.

If you type into google using this format it will return ALL craigs list listings for that search.

works for searching any site, for example
