My brother in law used them for a tune on his Ktm super duke, they did a great job, dead friendly, knew what they were doing, his mate had an Aprilia Tuono done at the same time, again a happy customer. No direct Yamaha experiences to share though.

I'm more concerned with their reputation and abilities than other issues

I was going to use them but was advised against an ECU reflash as they have been known to give problems. Went down the power commander route instead.

I did chat to the guys on the phone and they seemed very knowledgeable though.

Haven't heard anything at all about any problems after re-flashing. Do tell…………... ::017::

Just had my ECU re-flashed, best move I've ever made, for the cost !

If I had more money, I would choose a full dino set up though.

There are a number of threads here and elsewhere and countless of us here have refreshed ECUs. I can think of nobody who has anything except praise.

I googled the ecu flash many a times before I had mine done n can't say I read anything negative about the results.., other than maybe a bit of fuelling work might still be useful afterwards (think being honest I'd agree on that point). I did read negs about the CJM tho... even tho I was happy to ignore them anyhows... ::)

I am going to CJS racing next week to get them to set my bike up on the Dyno, currently got the ECU-Unleashed flash which did remove the restrictions (the main reason I bought it) but it does not sort the fuelling with Arrow headers...

... ECU Unleashed and Off The Road both recommend a power commander to set a bike up for different exhausts, even Race Engineering who do the ECU-U Flashes reckon the bike is far better with a flash AND a power commander - both on the dyno and on the road, mainly because the flash does not sort out the closed loop fuelling and also because the flash is generic.

CJS insist they can sort my fuelling with the Arrow headers, as well as get the fuelling and ignition perfected, and will map each cylinder individually as well, all for less than the cost of a Power Commander - which is unable to remove the restrictions.

I have not heard of any issues with a flashed bike so far, but I would go somewhere that others have used regardless of if it is a flash-by-post or dyno setup.

I will post the results when I have had mine re-mapped by CJS, should be interesting to see if they really can better what ECU Unleashed did.

Im not an engine expert by any stretch. I can only go by what i was advised with. My dealer told me the warranty would be void with an ECU flash and that he had dealt with 2 bikes with issues. No idea what they were.

With the PC i can take it off should any warranty issues arise and also can put it on another S10 in the future when i buy a newer model.

The dealer cannot really tell if an ECU has been flashed (unless they notice the better performance, but would probably need to ride back to back with another S10 to notice, my dealer (less of a shite-monger than yours I guess) told me as much and said as long as I did not bring the bike in obviously damaged by mods I had done they would sort any issues under warranty.

Don't forget the Power Commander will not remove the low down restrictions, the bike will feel a little better with the fuelling improved, but the 25% or so lower mid-range a flash gives would not be matched, you would be lucky to gain 1/5th of that with the Power commander....

...which also cannot do anything with the ignition or throttle maps (required to remove restrictions and improve T-Mode if you find it puny) or the myriad of other adjustments that can be made with a flash (altered rev limits, change startup mode, alter fan temp on / off - although you may not want to mess with all that, you will want the restrictions lifted.

Not one person here has a had a problem with a flash, seems odd your dealer has come across more than all of us on this forum

Under EU law you only invalidate the part of the warranty that is affected by the modification you have undertaken and not the whole warranty. This loop hole got closed years ago when car companies tried to wriggle out of claims from modified vehicles. Non standard gear knob ? That's why the diff has failed - claim denied...
