It was cool and rainy here today, so instead of riding I spent most of the day in the garage, defarkling the NT. This the pile with the things I plan to move to the Super10. I spent several entire weekends lovingly installing all this wiring in the NT, winter before last. If I can't get it done quicker on the Super10, I don't think I'll finish before winter comes again.

Here are some before pics:

Now I just have to put all the bodywork back on the NT, and take some pictures, and I can post it for sale. Anyone want an NT?

I am in the process of stripping off the mods I did to my ST1300. All that's left to do is to remove the Powerlet panel and the topbox. Since we just got back fro Nova Scotia Friday I also need to clean it!

I de-farkled my FJR of those items that were somewhat easy any/or any that I felt they had more worth to sell separate vs on the bike. One thing you learn over the years is to have a good "system" for saving/storing the OEM items (hardware. etc) removed so that they can be found again when it comes time to re-install. That said, my system almost failed me as it took several days to find my OEM rear rack when I removed the Givi rack to return to stock. Surprisingly, I finally found it in the "last place I looked"!!! ;)

The OEM hardware items I needed were mainly just different lengths of screws. And the ones I took out were still sitting in a cat food dish on my workbench, because I hadn't cleaned those out since I installed all these farkles in early 2010. Sometimes it pays to be a slob.

I'm in the process of doing the same (defarkling)
Where are you going to install the AutoCom?
I don't know yet. I must admit that I still have not taken either side panel off to look in there. I hear there's space under the right side panel though. I guess I'll know soon. Though I don't think I'll work on it tonight - it's lovely here today. And tomorrow and Weds I have full evenings. Maybe this weekend.
