Hi all, I've had an issue with the cruise control on my 2014 S-10. Works then won't set. Light blinks? Can stop, turn off, restart then it works until it wants to blink again. Book says maybe a break sensor, but I have
no idea. Any info would be Great, thanks.

Sadly, the search function on this forum sucks hind-tittie so it's very difficult, if not impossible, to find the dozens of CC issue threads here.

That said, enter the search term "yamahasupertenere.com cruise control" into Google and you'll have pages of links to CC issue threads here in this very forum!

That front brake recall I skipped. Had no issue and the pricks wouldn't give me the part to do it myself. That shop has bad reviews. From what I see they are set right. I'll look at google searching.

Sierra1 your on a ton of threads on this CC issue. Lots of great info for sure. I'll check that rear brake switch first. It's weird, it doesn't act up until I have a good 100 miles or more on a ride. I tap my clutch to disengage it on a curve or whatever. Then it blinks and you know the rest. Not sure the recall is still good? I'll have to check, no longer have the letter.

I'll fill ya in, thanks All.

My local Yammie dealer doesn't have a ton of S10 experience, but I went to them for the recall. The tech did it in their service drive-through with me helping on some the details or working around my own wiring stuff. It was fiddly and a little awkward, but it got done and my CC no longer has the issue.

Might just need to suck it up and work with your local dealership. Mine is OK, but I don't feed them work, either. Especially after a service writer said the valves don't need to checked. LOL.
