Cowlings - Black or silver????

I was just getting ready to order my crash-bars and skid plate from Alt-Rider when I had to choose a color. Thought it was a no-brainer as all the pics on this site show the cowlings to be silver. Then I looked at the picture on the Yamaha brochure and it shows the cowlings to be black. Checked the Yamaha website and they are also black. So, are the silver cowlings the European variety, like the White ST, or do we actually know what color the cowlings may be? Feel like one of my daughters before a prom!!! What color, what color?

Appreciate any help. This website is great! Thanks to everybody for all the input on all the topics. Has saved me hours of time - so I can watch more ST videos!!

Actually, it'll be black with silver netting on my "SinisterBlack" supa10.
I'll be drilling out some of the area and fabricating some silver screen material
And affixing it to the Inside of the panels.
Think of some of the one off pictures we have all seen recently....dat look.

It"ll look killah, and also not Interfere with heat...water on the other hand.....ahem.!

I'm with ya on this one hANNAbOne - some nice fine meshed stainless steel screen and maybe some color accents like the red and yellow wing bars on a red winged black bird. "black bird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly"
