I'm Samps, proud owner of a newly purchased Super Tenere.

A mature entry rider, having only had my license for three years, I took the plunge and garaged my trusty 650 V-Star and jumped on the first Super Tenere that I was lucky enough to come across. It is fan-effin-tastic!
During my three years of riding I discovered that I am into very long rides, and my V-Star has taken me 55,000km around Australia, mostly top-to-bottom runs, next will be the sideways trips. I've enjoyed travelling light but ordered the S10 with as many boxes as I could fit on it anyway.

Now, to see if there's any FarRides coming up in the near future....

Lovely forum, btw...

Welcome to the forum. A fellow member on this forum once stated that the 650 V-Star was the nicest riding lawnmower he ever had. :))

I had the opportunity to ride one. It isn't a bad bike, but boy do I really like my S10.

Welcome Samps. ::016::

You'll find this forum usefull.
I found a lot of interesting information here. ::012::

My current bikes have 50 000 an 15 000 on the clock, respectively.
I commute 60kms every day.
And tour as far as possible at a time on long weekends and holidays.

Your STen is suited for that so ::001:: and keep the shiney side up.

Welcome.

The Mrs keeps banging on about emigrating to Oz, but I love the Alps / Black Forest / Pyrenees and keep telling her until you lot build some mountains and put a few roads around them we're staying put ;)

Hi Samps from over in the The Blue Mountains.

Google Tenere Tragics if you want a decent ride each year. I've missed two and I'm not doing it again ;D

[edit] I just started a thread here for anyone who is interested.

Sorry for the late welcome, I missed your post for some reason.

Thanks for the heads up.... I can tell that I might just have a busy year ahead of me, getting to know my bike, signing up for another couple of fora, trying to remember my wife's name and where I live......
