Hello,

Does anyone know what the cold cranking amps are for the battery that comes in the 2014ES Tenere?

Thanks for your help.

The stock Yuasa YTZ12S is 210 CCA. There is a higher CCA battery that is the same physical size, the YUASA YTZ14S which is 230 CCA. I have the 14S in my '12 and it's noticeably better at starting the big girl. I have used a lower CCA battery in a pinch and 170 CCA rated battery still started fine.

Hope that helps.

I put the YUASA YTZ14S in my S10, the battery guy tested it for me when it was installed and it was putting out about 320 CCA, when I asked him why it was some much higher than the rated output, he told me Yuasa under rate their battery's. ::008::

While true, you probably also tested it in a shop which had a comfortable temp, while ratings and most other specifications are for 59F, which is a bit chilly. Testing at warmer temps than 59F will result in higher output for a shorter period of time.
