Yuasa got back to me today, a guy called Graham Knotts from sales was very helpful and basically my battery was manufactured on 23-Jan-2016.
the number was embossed on the ridge on the top of the battery at the opposite end to the poles/terminals, the way it reads is DDMMYY..and the last 2 digits being a factory code, my number is.... 23011643
ddmmyy...

My speed triple benefited from a heavier gauge cable from the relay to the starter, too much resistance in the oem cable. With that, I wonder what the voltage drop at the starter vs battery looks like on the super ten...but it's hard to care when mine turns slow and fires up every time.

I was going to say something about when the acid was added. Showing my age as a 10 year old empty battery is brand new.

But these are "wet" when made, correct?

YTZ12S - Stock battery - 210 CCA (Not confidence inspiring)
YTZ14S - Option1 - 230 CCA (Meh)
SSTZ14S-FP - Option2 - 387 CCA (Like getting a jump start, every start)

I was looking at ordering the larger YTZ14S but I see one version from Yuasa has white writing and "YTZ14S" and the other is red writing that is "YTZ14S MF"
Yuasa's website only shows one battery. Does anyone know what the difference is?
Thanks!

The YTZ is the shape, physical size, and terminal configuration, so it should install with no issue.
The 14 is the 230CCA, so you will get more power than stock.

The additional MF is probably a code about the factory it was made in, marking of the battery, or some other item that would not matter.
