Love the center stand on this bike and it looks so good sitting on it. I am simply amazed at how easy it is to use, my first attempt was perfect.
My Kawi C-14 was a little harder to put up there. This bike really turns heads. SO many bikers wonder...WTF is that? Its always a new story and some turned heads with this one. I have to explain to people "what it is and what it does" and than they so ...OH like the BMW? uh huh.

I was at a combined Harley, Yamaha and Kawasaki dealer and someone asked me about the Tenere. They were talking about the bike like it was the BMW GS. Once I figured that out and corrected him, he had to get a closer look. It's a good looking bike. ;D
The center stand is easy as long as it's not in gear. I tried once to get it up and the wheel was preventing me from raising the bike. (because it was in gear) ::010::

I was also pleasantly surprised how easily it went on and off the center stand. Much easier than my former bikes.

With regard to the bike being in gear...I've long had a habit of pulling the clutch in when I put the bike up. Ever since I had a bike fall away from me...

After leaving a nut on the floor, I always put the bike in neutral and, leave the side stand down. If it does try to go away from me, I can haul on it and not be afraid of pulling it over on me.. Then put the side stand up when I'm done..

It's the easiest bike I've ever had for putting up on it's center stand. :)

Isn't this the correct way? That's the way I have been doing it for 40+ years.

Yep, been there, done that. Except in my case I was trying to put a bike up on the center stand after I'd already wetted it down to wash it, and my foot slipped off because it was in gear and wouldn't pop up. Remove the force from the bottom and transfer it to the two hands pulling upward and it goes right over... :'( Now I make sure they're in neutral first...

Jettcity, I agree the S10 is much easier to center stand than the C14. My PD duty bike is a C14 and is the other bike in my avatar picture. I can center stand my duty bike pretty easy too, but only because our PD puts drop bars around the side bags. The drop bars are easy to grab.

I like to center stand my bike in neutral, with the kick stand down just in case. The key is to drive your leg straight down while looking straight ahead. You'd be amazed how your head position effects how straight the bike stays.

I must be a fatass, but all I do is push down with the right foot until I can feel the bike balance on both centerstand "legs" and then I just "stand up" onto the pedal. The bike pops right up onto the stand.

Yep - that was the technique I was shown ... and just use your hands on the handlebar and rear grab rail for the bike's balance ... no pulling up needed.
