Bike made it to German

Well, after sitting for a couple months on a boat, my bike finally made it here to Germany (Stuttgart). I have had it for a couple weeks and have loved every minute of my rides so far, although mostly just commuting to work.

I bought my 2020 S10 used and it currently sports Dunlop Trailmax Misson tires. They seem great so far but since I will ride nearly all of the time on the tarmac, I am going to likely put some decent touring rubber on it when the time comes.

I am scanning the archived threads for tire options, specifically what is best for wet weather because it rains a lot here but more to the point, these roads seem to be more slick than what I am accustomed to back in Tennessee.

I have no complaints with these Trailmax Misson tires but want a more road biased tire to use when the time comes. I intend to ride as late into the year as possible, temp wont matter but ice will...

Any recommendations?

I am a fan of Continental Trail attack 3....
Got caught under very hard rain on my twisty mountain roads overhere last two weeks.
Even though the tires have very long km miles on them never felt uncomfortable....
I am on my second set and I will put them back again...
Obviously this is just my Italian opinion lol

Michelin Road 5 or 6, or Continental trail attack 3, both these tyres are superb road tyres

Plus 1 for this! I have run Michelin PR5 on my S10 and they were brilliant and for the past year, I have run Continental TA3, either are all the tyre you will ever need on tarmac, wet or dry.

Pirelli Scorpion Trail II or Metzler Next. It rains a bit in Seattle too and then drips the remainder of the time. Constant wet and debris covered roads. I've run two sets of each and found both to be excellent street tires. If I had to choose, Pirelli would get the nod!

Stuttgart………….close to many many exceptional biking areas. Hope you enjoy your new location.

Metzeler Tourance Next. Excellent wet or dry.
I just bought a tiger 1200. It has tourance next tires. The front makes a loud annoying roar at 40 -50 mph. Other than that. They seem to be good tires. Does yours?

No, on mine the Next are quiet. I’m probably on my 5th or 6th set, never had them noisy. I’ve also used a couple of sets of the base Tourance tyres, the fronts definitely sing on those, but not excessively.

Thanks for the responses, I have some good recommendations to consider.
Being realistic, I have no complaints with the tires I have on now, I just thought that maybe more road-biased tires would be better on these roads in Germany. I could be wrong.
Besides a '17 VStrom 650 that I owned for a bit, my only 'true' riding experience has been on my Ultra Classic so this bike feels considerably different. I doubt much of that difference is because of the 50/50 tires.

I have heard there are some decent off-tarmac roads fairly close to me in Stuttgart, but there are easier roads to find with twists and elevation changes that rival the roads in Central Tennessee where our US home is located so I am spending all of my riding time looking for them. Germany has some REALLY great roads to ride. I am looking forward to trying to make my way to each country that borders Germany sometime during this 3-year stint.
