i know that this is not a common problem for most, but for me i have a hard time finding gloves that actually fit me.

i wear a size 13 (xxxl) and cannot find a high quality glove of my preference. i prefer race gloves (they go fastest and thus crash hardest in most cases), but of course will be going with a different winter glove. right now i am trying to break in a set of Knox Handroids (they are a size 12 (xxl)), but these are so tight that the first time i tried them on i could feel the circulation cutting off in my finger for a little bit. flexing the fingers back and forth was tough and sore as well. after riding in them yesterday they are slowly breaking in, but i really do not want to have to go through this shit again. i still have a hard time pulling these off (yesterday at work i had indents all around my fingers for about half-an-hour), but they are breaking in slowly.

i try to stay away from anything with metal attached (multiple reasons- one is that titanium can catch on pavement and cause the energy to reflect back into your hands, but also metal on knuckles can be construed as "metal knuckles" by law enforcement).

i am looking at getting these for winter: http://www.rideonadv.com/Ride_On_Adv/Argo_Gloves.html

are there options that i am simply not finding? i would like to stay away from the gloves with little or no protection other than the leather itself.

and thank you.

held goes up to 12 for most gloves and stop there. this is the same with almost all major glove manufacturers of which in lies my situation.

this situation sucks. the Handroids are breaking in, but i feel that a proper size 13 would be much better. but thank you!

All I can suggest is going away from the armored gloves and go quality leather, elk or cow. Soak them and wear 'em dry.

How do you measure hands for glove size? I've never really been sure. I usually have to get XXL for gloves but I couldn't tell you what my glove size is as a number.

Hmmm, just did the internet search on how to do this and my hand measures 9" (size 9 then?) which should equate to a "large" size glove. I must have mutant hand dimensions as I own not one set of gloves sized "large." Seems like glove sizes are like women's clothing sizes........no understandable system. ;D

xxxl: size 13
xxl: size 12

i believe there are variations to this, but when measuring you go around the index finger knuckle where it connects to you hand and go all of the way around once and measure that distance. from there it is all about finding a measuring chart.

the Handroids are breaking in finally. i really like these, but i dread breaking in a new set when i must.

There are devices used for stretching boots... could you build something similar for stretching gloves? Maybe carve something from wood or mold with plastic putty? Then wet the gloves and put them over it, and leave them until they dry, to stretch them out?

Or just order custom gloves. Z Leather makes custom gloves. Their quality is high and the pricing is reasonable.
