I get why they listed the XS11, but honestly the XS650 was a far better all-around street bike. Bullet proof, snappy and cornered well. The XS11 was a rocket that did nothing else well. Heck, you couldn't even chop one (easily) to make it something cooler.

Curious there is no mention of the 1968 DT-1. It was the first of a whole new class that put people on two wheels that never had riden otherwise

Yeah, I don't know how the list was compiled. No dirt bikes? Or that UK moped. And the Gen 1 V-Max is nowhere near as good as the Gen 2. The XS11 developed into the FJ11/12. And the FJR is better than any of them.

For me the only 2 bikes on here would be the R1 and 350YPVS.
And without Stéphane Peterhansel
I'm not sure their Dakar history would be what it is. I would have picked the XT500.
