Anyone interested in riding a section of the TETs 8/27-8/28?

Hey there Brntrt,I am considering doing a few days of The TETs in Late May,Early June,And was wondering if you had done any of The TETs on your Tenere before?Or for that matter,on any Big Adventure bike?Thanks for any input you can give me!!

I've done the Georgia Mtn section from Calhoun all the way to Galax Va on Miss Piggy(Super Tenere) and she gobbles it up. I didn't bother doing the Big Bike Bypass's just ran her up the goat tails and other than a couple of drops she was awesome. Let me know when you plan to run it.

What tires were ya running?And how long did it take ya to go from Ga.To Va.Camped all the way ,like you are gonna do on this trip?Sorry for all the ??'s just trying to figure this whole thing out!!

I've done it on a KLR, a Tiger 800 and the S10. All three trips took 3 days and I camped all the way. If I remember correctly I averaged 250 miles a day. I ran it with the stock stones and of the three bikes the S10 was the best of the three for this kind of rising and the Tiger the least fun. I can only imagine with some knobs the Tenere would only be better. I'm slapping some Mita E09's on the big girl and would be up for a run on the TET/S. Its a fun ride and not very challenging, only a couple of tricky spots but there are Bypass's if you want to go around.
