Hi Everyone, I've just joined the forum although I've not got a Tenere YET!! I currently ride a FJR and superb as it is I fancy a S10. I've been looking on this site for a short while and there certainly seems to be plenty of advice to be had and knowledge to be gained. It's still freezing here in the North of England so there hasn't been too many oportunities to get out on the bike yet this year but surely that has to change soon and we can get back to our normal rain ;D

Hi m8 ... don't fancy the new FJR then? Welcome to the site I hope that we can be of use to you. BTW from what I know of the UK it doesn't get warm 'UP NORF'. ;)

Welcome from the USA. I had two FJRs. Great bikes. The Tenere suits me much better.

Bought a new FJR and S10 in 2011 as I couldn't decide between the 2, if I had to choose 1 now it is the 10, welcome to a great forum

Welcome Higstatic from an S10 owner in the midands. Hoping to get out on the bike this weekend as I'm doing an Easter Egg run to a children's hospice. Look forward to meeting you at a UK S10 meet sometime this year :)

Eyup Higstatic, welcome aboard.
I moved from an FJR to an S10, to me it's kind of a sideways step rather than a step forward. I do like the style of riding it gives but I still miss the FJR.
Getting pretty fed up with this cr@ppy weather now, it's just never ending.

From Good old Northern Ireland. I too have had 3 FJRs and I find it hard to separate bikes. Different but similar if that makes sense? I do love the S10. The only thing I dont like but got used to over the last 9000 miles was the openness around the feet. But ::026:: ::026::

Thanks for the warm welcome Gents. I think Snakebasket has the right idea, a FJR and a S10 in the stable but I'll just have the one :( but what a one :p

As a fellow Northener I agree this weather is getting a bit depressing... Blooming tax'd my S10 this month and only managed 1 ride before the weather clagged in again.
Cant comment on the FJR comparison as I've not ridden an IL4 for a long time but I can say the S10 is a great bike and I cant see me getting rid of mine for the foreseeable as there is little on the market that competes if you don't fancy being a BMW(or KTM) beta tester.
